Welcome to the home of the 2010 Northern Virginia Home Education Conference. This July 9^th & 10^th will mark our seventh year producing this event. From the beginning, our goal has been to offer the broadest range of curriculum selections to every homeschool family in the Greater Metropolitan Washington region. We have also laboured to bring you a solid cross-section of instructional workshops to help you become the best possible educator. That is, and will continue to be, our commitment to you and the mission of this conference.

We have already received commitments to return to the 2010 event from many of our most loyal exhibitors. Many new exhibitors have heard about this event and the wonderful educators who attend each year and have committed to come, meet you and show you how they can help your school be better. There will be a number of new activities in our Demonstration Area that we’ll share in the schedule as we get closer to the Conference.

When we introduced this event in 2003, Michael Smith (HSLDA President) graced our event with a keynote speech tailored to support homeschool families in this region. He has generously agreed to reprise that keynote presentation this year and will, along with his wife Elizabeth, together, offer other comments, encouragements and instruction to you – the wonderful, dedicated and energetic homeschool community of the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan region.

To encourage your faithful attendance - for the fifth year in a row - we have decided to keep our registration fees the same. To punctuate that commitment, we still offer you the entire recorded workshop schedule in MP3/DVD format as a complimentary benefit of early registration. The Door Prizes you can receive get better and more numerous each year. We are constantly working on more effective ways to complete your on-site registrations but you still receive the greatest reward in time and money saved by registering early.

We are still working on a couple of special pre-conference activities that will either be free or available for a very modest fee. We will let you know more about them on our Facebook page. Please become a Fan and share us with your local homeschool “family”. Bring them to the Conference. Make a day or even a week-end of it.  Visit your Nation’s Capital during Independence Week. Make an impact on your students’ education – join us in Washington in July. Your school will never be the same!
